Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Savvi iOS app and web experience (the "Service"), operated by [legal entity name] ("Savvi", "we", "us"), a company registered in Hong Kong. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

You must be 18 or older to use Savvi. Under the law of Hong Kong, intoxicating liquor must not be sold or supplied to a minor in the course of business.

1. The Service

Savvi provides wine recommendations, label identification, taste-profile tools, venue information, and the ability to order wine cases for home delivery. Recommendations and label readings are generated with the assistance of AI and are provided for enjoyment: scores, price comparisons, facts, and identifications are informational, can contain errors, and are not professional, medical, or investment advice. Menu prices belong to the venues and can change without notice. Some venues participate in Savvi's partner programme: among wines that match your taste and budget comparably well, a partner venue's featured bottles may be shown first. Match scores and price information are never altered by partnership.

2. Your account

Keep your credentials safe; you are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete account, which permanently removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service (including attempting to manipulate credits, scores, or offers).

3. Case orders (wine purchases)

Who sells. Wine cases are sold and fulfilled by the importer/distributor named on the order ("the Importer"), who holds the stock and ships to you. Savvi operates the platform and collects payment on the Importer's behalf.
Ordering & payment. An order is a reservation until paid. You may pay by card (processed by Stripe) or by FPS/PayMe transfer quoting the order reference. Nothing ships until payment is confirmed. Unpaid reservations may be cancelled by us after 7 days.
Prices. All prices are in Hong Kong dollars and include standard delivery within Hong Kong unless stated otherwise. Savings comparisons refer to the venue list price or our tracked retail prices at the time of offer.
Table credit. Promotional credits (e.g. the HK$100 table credit) apply once per order, are not exchangeable for cash, and may require confirmation by the venue via the in-app QR. We may withdraw or amend promotions prospectively at any time.
Delivery. Standard delivery is 2–3 working days by courier within Hong Kong. Someone 18+ must be available to receive the wine; the courier may verify age and refuse delivery to anyone appearing under 18.
Cancellation. You can cancel an unpaid or payment-pending order in the app. Paid orders can be cancelled for a full refund any time before dispatch.
The Savvi promise (refunds). If a bottle arrives faulty (corked, oxidised, leaking) or damaged, we will replace it or refund it — contact us within 14 days of delivery with a photo. This does not cover simply disliking a wine. Statutory rights under Hong Kong's Sale of Goods Ordinance are unaffected.

4. Age and responsible drinking

The Service is strictly for adults 18+. We display the statutory notice required by Cap. 109B wherever liquor can be bought, and we may refuse or cancel any order where we reasonably believe the buyer or recipient is under 18. Please drink responsibly.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of photos you take in Savvi (labels, menus, transfer records). You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store and process them to operate the Service, and — for wine-label photos only — to display them in the app's wine catalog (for example, as the bottle image other users see for that wine). You can delete your content by deleting your account. Don't upload content that is unlawful or that you don't have the right to share.

6. Acceptable use

Don't scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service; don't misuse credits or promotions; don't use the Service to buy alcohol for minors. We may rate-limit or suspend accounts that do.

7. Third-party content & services

Venue information, ratings, photos, and map data come from the venues and third-party sources and may be inaccurate or out of date. Payment processing is provided by Stripe under its own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Hong Kong law: the Service is provided "as is"; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss; and our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (including under the Control of Exemption Clauses Ordinance).

9. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in the app before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
